a lot of people come to me with gas and bloating in my private practice and it's made much worse by fiber on a zero fiber diet like a carnivore diet there's no fibre to feed the bad gut bugs that may be contributing to constipation the methane producing bacteria and a lot of these people in fact all the people I know in my private practice in my personal life who have done a carnivorous diet have had almost complete resolution of any GI symptoms like gas and bloating
what we've seen clinically and people that we work with on carnivore diets is if anything resolution of GI inflammation I think most people find significant improvement in GI symptoms of gas and bloating things like this
when they do things like biome and biome and GI map things like I've done it myself multiple times we see very robust diversity and populations of all the normal species of gut flora on zero fiber diets
on zero fiber diets like a carnivore diet a lot of people get pretty significant improvement in GI symptoms and I think that's great and then we can check you know I've checked my alpha diversity a lot of people in the carnivore community these are anecdotes admittedly have checked alpha diversity and c3 robust alpha diversity as you know I'll just mention this and then we'll wrap up that fasting can affect alpha diversity positively so lack of fiber and fasting can affect Ackerman's emu Sanofi liya positively
Carnivore diet did increase beta diversity, which is something that not a lot of people have commented on.
