get a cgm even if it's for two weeks save the records let me know what you think
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
CGM is one of the tools we want to look at other biomarkers as well but it's an important tool that tells you a lot about what's happening inside and predicts you know any sort of metabolic lifestyle related condition
that's why cgms are so valuable
Try lgc.com/carnivoremd and neutriense.io a cgm. It'll change your life. I'm telling you. I'm gonna put one on again here soon and do some more carbohydrate experiments.
there is no better way to know if you are metabolically healthy than a cgm
i think cgms are the key to behavior change for so many of us
But, what I can definitely not agree with is that it doesn't provide any useful information.
you can tell from a continuous glucose monitor or from a fasting insulin how metabolically healthy you are
Deep dive into blood glucose: why it matters, important metrics to track, and superior insights from a CGM | June 14, 2021
so my hope is that in ten years maybe that's ambitious I would hope that the hemoglobin a1c can't even be ordered on a lab and everyone just has a CGM you know and it's like a trivial little you know thing that you know even if you're getting a life insurance exam you just wear the CGM for two weeks and the data comes from that as opposed to actually measuring this nonsensical number you know
it is obviously an important tool for not just diabetics but obviously everybody
I'm an enormous advocate of CGM use. The more we democratize access to CGMs, I think the better we put individuals in a position to be their own coach, you know, they don't need to have someone like me or you berating them and telling them to change their habits and eat a little better. when you see how your body is responding to what you're eating and the CGM enables that, you end up making your own lifestyle changes.
Post-meal glucose spikes in non-diabetics drive long-term cardiometabolic disease independently of HbA1c.
Wearing a continuous glucose monitor leads to personalized dietary improvements that hold up beyond 12 weeks.
Continuous glucose monitors meaningfully change behavior in non-diabetic adults beyond the first month.
CGM use in metabolically healthy adults induces orthorexic-style dietary anxiety without health benefit.
