so coffee actually led to the development of breakfast not the other way around and that uh yeah so that's very heartening uh no again no pun intended uh for the uh the caffeine lovers Among Us uh which I count myself one of those so essentially the food before coffee became breakfast so you kind of give something to your to your stomach so it's busy digesting that and then when the coffee comes in it's not reacting to coffee and creating um acid reflux so it wasn't this fascinating so it wasn't that breakfast is necessary on its own it was essentially a buffer against the gastric distress caused by caffeine at least in that culture when in that context
