In India, school-age children exposed to >1.5 mg/L water (double the US recommendation) showed lower average IQ. Ref (7)
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.

A meta-analysis of 33 studies concluded that water fluoride beyond 1 mg/L (43% above US standard) correlated to 5 point IQ decrease, while water at the US recommeded level 0.7mg/L correlated with a smaler 2.15 IQ decrease, on average. Ref (6)
A Canadian birth-cohort study showed boys born to mothers in areas with fluorinated water had lower average IQ at 3-4 years of age. Average 4.49 IQ decrease (only for boys) associated with each 1mg/L increase in MUF (Maternal Urinary Fluoride) in pregnancy. Ref (5) (observational)
the national toxicology program did a survey um I want to say I don't want to misquote it was about 3600 municipalities in the United States um it was it was originally suppressed they actually got it the the report released by Court subpoena suppressed oh yeah it was suppressed until March of last year like so many good research findings that I'm sure we'll talk about in this podcast yes yes and um and they they sued under the freedom information act and and it was released and you can Google it national toxicology program fluoride um you're welcome to read the study I want to say it was about 3600 municipalities 52 of 54 studies they found um an inverse relationship between IQ and fluoride concentration especially in prees and teens
There are many large studies now which associate fluoride consumption with significantly lower IQ in kids.
Studies have consistently linked higher prenatal and childhood exposures to fluoride with lower IQs. It's been demonstrated in multiple cohorts across the world.
