But if you look at some of those studies, it turns out, it looks more as though those people are simply reporting being in bed longer, but not necessarily sleeping longer. And that fits very well with one of the profiles that we know of depression, which is anhedonia, you don't get pleasure from normally pleasurable things. So you just don't want to go out into the world, you don't want to interact because you're depressed. So what do you do? You just stay in bed?
