using this type of MRI if your hepatic fat index is over 5% that's a high enough degree of what's called steatosis that you have fatty liver disease now of course this is not um this is not an a digital thing it's an analog right there's a there's a spectrum to this so so you know you start with just fat accumulating in the liver but as more and more fat accumulates you start to get inflammation that results in scarring and fibrosis and ultimately you would get to therosis
