I do want to point out that AST and ALT these are two things that are technically called liver enzymes but are more generic than that it's aspartate Amino transferase and alanine amino transferase alt is more specific for liver if you have problems with your liver alt will likely be elevated if you see your alt creeping up or if it's elevated above the reference range then you might want to check for something like nafld non-alcoholic fatty liver disease
