per menopause basically critical threshold it's a downward Trend overall of estradiol but is a very chaotic you know race till you Flatline and bottom out
The headline is broadly defensible, but the qualifications matter. Effect sizes vary by population, the strongest claims rest on shorter trials, and credible voices push back on how it's typically framed.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
also the estrogen and progesterone levels start changing dramatically we see much higher surges of estradiol than we ever had in our pre productive years and then much lower levels underneath so we end up with this very volatile curve and not predictable at all we call it in our world the zone of chaos
perimenopause which i like to kind of call um reverse puberty so remember how we said that basically every single month the the pituitary gland in the brain is sending out these messengers that's going into the room and it's saying like hey i need 20 of you to come to the party right then it's picking out the best one well what happens is as that pool of eggs starts to decrease there's less people in the room there's less people to invite to the party and so every single month there's less people that are being invited and each person that comes to the party brings a little bit of estradiol or estrogen with them and so what's happening is we're starting to see very um erratic levels of estrogen secretion
if i drew everybody a map of what estradiol levels look like in perry menopause it would look like a roller coaster ride like you're at a theme park an amusement park one month it's like 200 the next month it's 20 then it's 175 then it's 80 so it's all over the place
Perry menopause is this time where it's very erratic. The gas tank is over full and then it goes to empty really quickly without warning.
Why do we sometimes when we're measuring a woman's labs, say every 3 months, see periods where estradiol is through the roof, FSH and LH are low and 3 months later it's completely flipped.
We've established now what's happening. We've established that during the period of pmenopause, the one consistent thing that's happening is inconsistency. At some point, we we get to the place where the consistency returns, but now it's a new norm. And that new norm is you don't make estrogen, you don't make progesterone.
We've seen estrog I had a lady come in, you know, her but her day one her estrogen was 200 and her day 10 her estrogen was 900. Right? So, this is this wild fluctuation in pmenopause.
