surprisingly to many if you want your libido strong, you actually want your estrogen as high as possible (with no side effects) relative to also testosterone being in range or high-end range).
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
you actually need both in both males and females, it's just that in females, the testosterone levels are always going to be lower than the estrogen levels, and in males, the estrogen levels are always going to be lower than testosterone levels, so testosterone promotes sex-seeking behavior, and the real question then is, does sex itself promote testosterone?

I want to remind that both men and women have testosterone. It's important in both men and women. Yes, it's related to libido. But having sufficiently high levels of estrogen in both men and women is also critical for libido.
However, the hormone estrogen is also strongly associated with libido and mating behavior.
So, it's a coordinated dance of estrogen and testosterone in both males and females that leads to libido or sex drive.
