if you have estrogen dominance it increases thyroid binding globulin tbg which is produced in the liver and that basically binds up your free t4 and free t3
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
Estrogen also decreases the conversion through the D iota base of t4 into t3 so without good estrogen metabolism in your liver your thyroid is basically further harmed
estrogen also inhibits the enzymes inside the thyroid the proteolytic enzymes and so it can actually inhibit release of t4 from the thyroid gland
These proteins can change and estrogen for example affects the levels of thyroxin TBG. So that there are a number of conditions that can affect the total amount of T4 that's bound but it doesn't affect the free fraction.
