ferritin is what we call an acute phase reactants over written is a storage form of iron in ourselves there's a storage form of iron in the blood and there's a storage form of iron in ourselves and spare eaten is the storage form of iron nerve cells and if we get iron overload if we have hemochromatosis or if we have something else that's causing iron overload ferritin will go up but ferritin can also be raised by inflammation and ferritin will track with inflammatory markers like HSC RP g GT or ESR which is erythrocyte sedimentation rate so ferritin contract with all of these markers and can indicate inflammation or in your case it can indicate insulin resistance
