low carb appears to raise shpg this is an argument that I've advanced in the past that is probably that ketogenic low carb diets are not great for sex hormones because when you have more shpg you're going to have less free hormones in your body
when you limit carbohydrates it can have negative effects on your sex hormones when I was a strict carnivore my total testosterone went below 500 and again now every time I check it it's around 800 depending on how I've slept
