there's even a paper that says that LDL can neutralize reactive oxygen species during infection and this can protect our own cells because one thing that we have to do during an infection in a lot of cases is we have to kill this bacteria or virus we just have to we cannot keep it there in one way our immune cells can do that is they can essentially just barrage it with these oxidative particles and attempt to kill it but obviously that may result in some collateral damage but the paper essentially suggested you know LDL can take some of that damage and then we can just clear it and be done with it in our own cells are spared in that case
