across the board when it comes to hunter gatherers and really you see this pattern in in indigenous cultures across the the world they have high rates of maternal and infant mortality and that means that there are higher rates of kids dying and mothers dying in childbirth but if you average it across the lifespan that brings down their total life expectancy because the infant mortality and maternal mortality is so high
