Heat shock proteins are a protective mechanism in your brain and body to rescue proteins that would otherwise misfold.
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.

The heat shock proteins, what they do is they prevent proteins from misfolding and forming aggregates, right? And so, um, you know, it's it's obviously when you're getting into a hot sauna, you are denaturing some proteins. And so your heat shock proteins are a stress response that's activated to help with the proper folding of those proteins that were kind of denatured somewhat from the heat that you were exposing yourself to.
the role that hsps or heat shock proteins which are activated by heat um is really important because when you have that Protein that's damaged the heat shock proteins can repair that damage and they can make the protein fold back to its normal three-dimensional structure and this allows for you know the protein not to form aggregates
heat shock proteins so heat shock proteins as their name implies are activated um by heat uh they're often referred to as hsps and they play a very important role inside of cells they their their role is to make sure that proteins maintain their three-dimensional structure and that's really important because every protein inside your cell has a certain three-dimensional structure in space and that threedimensional structure is essential for that protein's normal function and if you disrupt that threedimensional structure the protein can't function optimally
Heat shock proteins do a lot of things but one of the things that they're what they they're most important for is for maintaining the proper 3-dimensional structure of proteins inside of your cells and that's really important for the function of proteins whether that is you know to make a red blood cell or a synapse or to have you know your white blood cells functioning properly function of proteins is very important well the other thing that it does is that the the three-dimensional structure is important for the the life cycle the protein the half-life
chaperone proteins basically they help prevent that from happening
