the researchers found and all these references will be in that podcast which you can go back and listen to that there were no centenarians among vegetarians in Okinawa so there is really no excess longevity in vegetarians in Okinawa from what I can tell based on the literature and they eat tons of meat because they are Buddhist and that religious affiliation doesn't shun meat like other religious affiliations in Japan so we have Okinawa Sardinia icaria and nikoya four of the five blue zones where the claims that this is somehow connected with plant-based diets or abstinence or decreased amounts of meat make absolutely no sense
