and it's read by well it's read by things called primes primers and probes what primers do these are these are other little bits of um of nucleotides in a chemical solution which bind to very specific nucleotides they're like bookends so you've got these the you've got these these these uh primers which take a slice essentially Mark out a slice and this other thing comes along and identifies called a probe and if the thing that you're looking for is present the whole thing by Magic which is now all being monitored by laser beam uh which is like taking taking samples measurements uh by millisecond as to why this is going on will uh give a signal which is then recorded on a recorded on a computer and generates a a curve and this curve um uh it it starts off flat and then it rises and then it goes what's the word I the asymptotes into a flat it's kind of a rough kind of s shape and with before it asymptotes um goes flat you take a reading
