The glymphatic system is actually a relatively recent discovery. I mentioned lymph and the lymphatic system earlier, the glymphatic system with a G, is a system in the brain by which debris that accumulates throughout the day, but in particular, debris that accumulates under conditions of neuroinflammation and inflammation of the body, is cleared out or is washed out of the brain. And the activity of this glymphatic system is extremely important for the recovery from infection of any kind. And it's now becoming clear, is important for recovery from traumatic head injury, and maybe even from psychological trauma.
