we have to consider the fact that one in eighty thousand blood transfusions can result in the wrong blood type being passed on from the lab and hurting a patient we never considered the role of human error in the care of our patients but now we're like hey do we need to keep people in the hospital for a week after surgery there's the added risk of falling a new environment tripping over your gown wearing slippers that are very slippery and they don't make sense they're uncomfortable and getting an infection in the hospital there are risks to being in the hospital that we have to weigh with the risk
