well obviously it didn't sit there dormant for nine million years it probably turned itself on many many times but all up until three million years ago every time it turned itself on it was more of a cost to its bearer than it was a benefit so they've got there's this really smart ape out there but it's no better at coordinating its activities with other age they can't hunt better it just has better conversations but that's no way to pay the rent on a bigger brain you've got to bring in more calories so now when it turns itself on with also epiphysis what I believed was going on is this is a point in time where because are bipedal they can now rotate their body properly and because they can rotate their it's a longer waist a more flexible shoulder more flexible arms and they're not using the climb trees all the time and that rotation allows for proper throwing
