there's another system that's very important for all of this that's collaborating with the vascular system and that's the lymphatic system we don't have time to go into a whole lecture about the lymphatic system but suffice to say the lymphatic system can pull stuff from the blood such as viruses but also cells that have been beaten up or cells that have been eaten and are contained within other cells such as macrofagos and it can do some filtering of those different cell types and it can produce its own useful chemicals that then can be reintroduced to the bloodstream in order to help combat the infection
