there were an enormous number of their soldiers who became incapacitated with heat stroke they got their core temperature got too hot and uh when the Army doctors uh examine them they found this was much more likely to happen in solders uh who came from the northern part of Japan Hokkaido where it's uh where it snows in the winter as opposed to the southern part of Japan like kushu which is a semi-tropical environment
