Number two, your brain has an active mechanism for manipulating the transduction of sound in your ears. That is to say, the conversion of sound into a neur neural signal that's going to go into the brain. So, your brain actually controls that process. Um, and there's some thinking that it's, you know, turning down the volume just before you speak so that you don't get blasted by the sound of your own voice.
