In terms of supplementation, magnesium is one of these things that's pretty safe to supplement with. Unless you have kidney disease. If you have chronic kidney issues, your body might not be able to get rid of magnesium and that can cause problems. But most of us will run into bowel tolerance, which means we'll get disaster pants, diarrhea, before we run into issues with magnesium levels rising too high in the body.
