The different categories are, for instance, distraction right? Some people just choose to distract themselves from pain or to attempt to, other people will try to ignore it, it's a lot like distraction, but nonetheless, to engage in a negative emotion, sort of like, "[growls] like I'm going to dig, I'm going to be in resistance to this." Control subjects tended to use those approaches, whereas practitioners of yoga tended to use other sorts of subjective approaches like positive imagery to some extent, the ability to relax despite the extreme cold, the ability to quote-unquote accept like, "This is just happening," despite the extreme cold, to observe, to third person themselves. And the greatest effect, of course, was to breathe, to focus on their respiration as a way to deal with this challenge, this cold challenge.
