Focus your eyes further away throughout the day to calm your brain and your body
The headline is broadly defensible, but the qualifications matter. Effect sizes vary by population, the strongest claims rest on shorter trials, and credible voices push back on how it's typically framed.
Focus your eyes further away throughout the day to calm your brain and your body
Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
Rather than sitting at my desk and watching YouTube or watching something on my computer, I'm gonna get up, I'm gonna come outside. I'm fortunate to live in a place like Costa Rica where I have warmth year round. I'm gonna let my eyes see a far away view, which is good for my parasympathetic nervous system. This is calming to be able to see far away and I'm gonna move around a little bit and then give myself 10 or 15 minutes and I can usually get back into work.
