We can't find evidence that holds up here. Proponents are reasoning from mechanism or analogy rather than direct human data, and the most credible skeptics raise objections we can't dismiss.
So these sayings of, "Well, it takes X number of months for number of years," or "out of sight, out of mind," or "absence makes the heart grow fonder," they really don't hold a lot of meaning, at least not for somebody like me, who likes science because science is at least geared toward or aims towards establishing things in fact, not opinion, but also because science allows you to make predictions.
