When I used to write grants in my laboratory in San Diego, you can ask my lab, I used to walk in and say, OK, I'm giving my phone to somebody. And if I ask for it back before 5:00 PM today, you each get $1,000. And I did not have $1,000 to give everyone in my lab. I had a pretty big lab. And I didn't have the money.
