If your doctor is not checking fasting insulin you need a new doctor.
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.
If your doctor is not checking fasting insulin you need a new doctor.
Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.

this is a podcast about the value of the simple easy metric called fasting insulin and i think fasting insulin is a measure that should be checked in every doctor's office every time you go to the doctor throughout the year unless your diet hasn't changed and you know that you are a fit lean non-obese non-overweight individual
i believe strongly that a fasting insulin laboratory measurement taken on every individual in this country would change the face of chronic disease given that doctors knew how to interpret this and what to do to change someone's metabolic health for the positive
i think the world would change and master medicine if they just check a fasting insulin right
