but when the ITP studied metformin it did not succeed
We can't find evidence that holds up here. Proponents are reasoning from mechanism or analogy rather than direct human data, and the most credible skeptics raise objections we can't dismiss.
but when the ITP studied metformin it did not succeed
Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
rapid metformin not so metformin has failed in the ITP
metformin alone did not succeed and has it only been run in by itself once or twice so i'm not surprised there are all sorts of reasons in which metformin failure is unsurprising one is it might be really good for people and not good for mice why i said people are organized very differently it's also possible that we use the wrong dose if we'd use a dose that was twofold lower or twofold higher it might have been great or if we had given it for a few months and then taking it away for a month and then given it for a few months that might have worked as well you know we tried it at one dose with one continuous dosing schedule it did not produce a significant effect but that's not to say that it could not work in mice and even if it could not work in mice that's not to say that it might not be good for people so there are all sorts of ways in which you might get a disparity you asked how many times metformin has been tried it's been published twice once by rafa to cabo once by us in our study it led to no significant lifespan extension in either males or in females
is that metformin has failed in the ITP and again we'll link to both of the podcasts with Rich Miller where we talk about the ITP in detail
in fact the only time metformin to my recollection has ever been positive in nitp was when it was comp combined with rapid M but metformin alone did not succeed
is that metformin has failed in the ITP and again we'll link to both of the podcasts with Rich Miller where we talk about the ITP in detail and why the itps are such impressive studies
