at the end of the neuron that what we call the axonal Bouton okay axon is the wire component of the neuron that can reach to another side in the brain and then release the neurotransmitter or neuromodulator there at those axonal boutons which are the sites of release the vesicles literally fuse with the edge of the neuron and vomit their neuromodulator out into the synapse and then the neuromodulator in this case dopamine will bind to receptors on the postsynaptic side that means to another neuron
