we have begun become so afraid of carbohydrates and it's ruining women's hormonal systems
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.

I mean doesn't it screw up all your hormones and like your sleep and then it's just like a whole trickling effect right that's my experience yeah I mean I think that when you when you restrict carbohydrates and this is high level but carbohydrates are a signal of abundance to the human body yeah for both men and women and I think women are perhaps an even more clear illustration of this because when women go low carb their menstrual cycles get messed up they're not as fertile they're not ovulating at the right time it's just it's different everything changes and it's very clear with a woman when they're not eating enough carbohydrates that the body is getting is receiving an absence or receiving a signal of of winter or of scarcity and saying it's not a good time to reproduce there's not carbohydrates

You end up people who sometimes do good for a little while on keto but plateau and then they they end up in this kind of hole. They can't get out because they have so much carbohydrate fearing. And I've worked with people like this. I've seen it. They have such bad electrolyte issues. They have sleep issues, palpitations. Sex hormones are declining. They're clearly stressed from this lack of carbohydrates and they don't know what to do
