The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
imagine that an evolutionarily consistent thing so much of this is intuitive and falls in line with what we would have done naturally as humans in the quote-unquote wild we would have sought fruit we would have eaten honey we would have killed animals and eaten them from nose to tail our uric acids would have been very low we would have been virile horny healthy and happy and there were no vegetables in sight most of the time at least not with the hadza or many other indigenous cultures that i've studied in the literature but i visited the has in person i can tell you not a lot of vegetables there at all
fruit and honey which are the least toxic sources of carbohydrates in my belief they have very much lower plant defense chemicals that's how plants make fruit they make it sweet they make it colorful they want you to eat it as opposed to the leaves and stems and roots and seeds of plants which have lots of events come chemicals
but I think that you're safest with fruit and honey
carbohydrates are beneficial for humans I'm very clear on this not necessarily all carbohydrates but you guys know what I mean oftentimes there's some confusion around carbs versus carbohydrates with carbs being garbage bread cakes cookies candies pasta carbohydrates perhaps more technically being things like fruit or honey I'm much more a fan of those for humans for carbohydrates
The reasons that I've selected fruit and honey is because to me it just makes sense intuitively that these are the foods that plants kind of want us to eat.
