Asisanthin is a carotenoid used in the feed of farm-raised Atlantic salmon. It is in the same family as vitamin A. Corotenoids are part of the natural diet consumed by salmon in the wild and give salmon its distinctive color. This is Atlantic salmon. So they're giving the salmon asanthin to get its color, but the salmon is not eating krill. It's not eating its full diet.
You don't want to farmraised salmon. All Atlantic salmon is farm-raised. You want wild fish.
