Oats contain heavy metals, pesticides, mycotoxins, phytic acid, and saponins. These are all extremely toxic for us.
We can't find evidence that holds up here. Proponents are reasoning from mechanism or analogy rather than direct human data, and the most credible skeptics raise objections we can't dismiss.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.

Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.

Oatmeal is NOT a healthy breakfast. Oats contain heavy metals, pesticides, mycotoxins, phytic acid, and saponins.
I think that the benefit long term is to your gut and an absence of accumulation of all the other things I'm going to talk about next which are things like mold toxins things like phytic acid and heavy metals in the oats
so I think that the takeaways for me as I'm thinking about oats are that that you shouldn't be eating them they're not a good breakfast food and let's just summarize why saponins defense chemicals soapy molecules tripur to terpene glycosides not able to be degraded with cooking damaging the human gut problematic in terms of digestion of lactase problematic in terms of digestion of fats and proteins potentially inhibiting trypsin and these also occur in quinoa and other grains so saponins you've got heavy metals cadmium and Lead which also occur in chocolate and leafy greens you've got pesticides if the oats are not organic glyphosate 24d atrazine chloraquat pyrethroid so many you've got huge occurrence of glyphosate across many types of oat cereals Parts Rebellion which massively exceed at least with the environmental working group thinks is acceptable for humans we're never going to avoid glyphosate completely but limiting it is probably a good idea you've got mold toxins and you've got phytic acid why would you eat oats I just don't get it
in my opinion oats are one of the worst breakfast foods
I just I think oats are not great for humans.
