i don't eat chickens for this reason especially fatty parts of chickens unless i know exactly what they're eating and i've seen their fatty acid analysis which basically means i don't need chickens doesn't make sense to me
i don't really want to eat chicken organs or chicken meat because it's just it's a weak bird and it's going to have higher levels of linoleic acid than i want it's going to be contaminated with all those things not to mention everything else that is going into garbage chicken feed
this is a huge reason that i am not a fan of chickens fed corn and soy to eat their mussel meat or to eat their eggs so it's very hard actually to find chickens that are not fed this which is one of the reasons that i don't eat a lot of chicken eggs in my diet right now i do have some but i have to work really hard i have to search high and low to find places where they're not feeding their chickens corn and soy and they're hopefully not feeding them regular chicken meal full of vegetable oils

chicken is fed corn and soy which means that the chicken fat is going to be much higher in linoleic acid than I would like in my diet I try to eat a very low linoleic acid diet those of you have heard my seed oils podcast know why I do that pork is the same way pork is very high in linoleic acid relative to what you would find in a free living Pig so chickens and Farms pork on farms have much more linoleic acid on the order of three to four x what you'd find in a wild chicken or Pig respectively specifically I'm thinking of 15 to 20 percent linoleic acid in the fat of chickens and pigs versus four to five percent in Wild equivalents
