my feeling is that the plant fiber is not worth eating to get rid of persistent organic pollutants I mean you can test so if people dioxins are an interesting thing so persistent organic pollutants are interesting if we look at the levels they've declined a lot since the Saudis and they've gone down like 95 percent and there's some interesting literature I don't think we know enough about these I don't think they're talking about an effort tested for the literature I think that the the general thinking is that they're higher in animals but there's a number of studies now that show they're in plants too I mean if you look at studies from like Greece the Netherlands Finland Russia they're in everything and the levels are very variable and seafood is some of the worst unfortunately in terms of persistent organic pollutants but there's a number of studies that if you haven't seen them I can send you that's show that olive oil is often even higher than the pork and sometimes pork has none or beef has none and sometimes it's in the middle and so they're everywhere and again I think this is probably the whole theme of this conversation and I love it like yeah we've just we've destroyed the planet like I don't even know what's gonna happen to future generations and it's almost like damage control now and you and I are both just trying to figure out how to how to eat in the best way possible amongst this damaged environment and I mean this podcast to to be fear-mongering for people I just want the the information to be out there I think some people might hear that so be like what can I eat there's nothing left to be and everything is polluted and the sad fact of the matter is that yes everything is polluted the water you're drinking is polluted the air we're breathing is polluted and and and we don't have a great way and so I think that these ideas like chlorella are fascinating the plant fiber is not how I would mitigate dioxins because of all the other problems with plant fiber whether it's finding up other minerals you know all the plant compounds it's gonna come with so we there's pretty good evidence that plant fiber is gonna come with phytic acid we can talk about that one too and that that's gonna deplete other minerals from our bodies
