0.57 parts per million Mercury and high fructose corn syrup 13 years ago that's problematic for humans
We can't find evidence that holds up here. Proponents are reasoning from mechanism or analogy rather than direct human data, and the most credible skeptics raise objections we can't dismiss.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
this looks to be a really bad thing for humans both increase calories that are not accounted for on labels potentially causing inflammation due to undigested starches potentially increasing endotoxin potentially being contaminated with Mercury or other problems
if you look at studies in animals and um gcms which is gas chromatography mass spectrometry of high fructose corn syrup so what's going on there is it undigested starches then we have concerns about whether starches are causing inflammation in the gut by damaging it
supposedly up until 2008 there was a significant amount of mercury contamination in high fructose corn syrup they say they've cleaned it up but I don't buy it
