there's also population evidence in countries like new calonia where iodine intake is not always robust that consumption of these cruciferous vegetables is strongly associated with increased rates of thyroid cancer as well this is common when people develop a goer hypertrophic thyroid due to iodine deficiency we do see increase rates of thyroid cancer
if you don't eat enough iodine in your diet and you eat too many foods that block its uptake, you end up with a goiter of varying sizes.
