Mercury poisoning is called hatterism. This is a reference to Alice in Wonderland. You guys remember the mad hatter from Alice in Wonderland? The hatters that used to make the hats during the time of Alice in Wonderland used mercury on the felt and they would get so sick from mercury toxicity that I that that they became kind of crazy and wild.
