i recently got a wild turkey semi-wild turkey from rome ranch they have them on the farm i don't think they feed them as many grains the turkeys are wild they're allowed to range around and they eat mostly bugs they do get some supplement with grains but i had that when i was back in austin and it was amazing it was the best turkey i've had that's probably the closest that i could get to a monogastric bird that is going to be evolutionarily consistent with his diet
