there's a fascinating study looking at people on tpn which is total parenteral nutrition which is basically if you can't eat and they have to feed you what do they feed you well what they feed you is glucose and soybean oil so if they feed you glucose and soybean oil apparently they increase your risk of getting odds by seven fold and the study which i don't think i include here but you know the study that does this was basically really good medicine but really bad science because as they were doing the study and they realized how harmful soybean oil was to their patients they reduced the feeding the patients with soybean oil and saw a significant reduction in mortality by reducing feeding of soybean oil
