so how are triglycerides is different than free fatty acids okay so triglycerides is a as I mentioned earlier or like the storage form of fat the way you can think of them is they're kind of like a big bulky package and because of that they stay within the carrier protein the boat they stay on board and it's try triglycerides means there's three it's three fatty acids with a glycerol backbone what happens this is kind of neat when they when they get bound to a cell that wants to make use of them they they bind to the boats almost like it docks then there's a process that gets started with something known as a lipoprotein lipase that will actually D esterified as to say it breaks apart those long-chain fatty acids so that they start coming apart and loose and then they can start coming through the membrane of the the lipoprotein and then further through the membrane of the cell
