Even if we just agree, and I think we should all agree, on the so-called calories in, calories out principle, right? It's a principle thermodynamics that if we ingest more energy than we burn, we are going to gain weight. If we ingest less energy than we burn, we are generally going to lose weight. And if the two things are in balance, ingestion and burning of energy, well, then we're going to maintain weight.
