So, yeah, I try and get two grams per day of EPA from supplementation.
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.
So, yeah, I try and get two grams per day of EPA from supplementation.
Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
So, like I have my parents taking it, you know, anyone that I care about it's, you know, easy, easy, done. You know, take your two grams a day. I say two grams a day because, you know, Lvesa is prescribed at four grams a day, you know, so two grams is pretty on the conservative side.
The dose in this study (2g of EPA, 1g of DHA) is the same dose I take & comes out to about 4-5 pills for most brands.
it was 11.7 and it said it i did it through wellness fx and um and they it says rbc omega-3 index i called it that so i'm assuming it's it may have been literally like a week before everything shut down because of the pandemic in 2020 i had done this huge performance test right all these things measured right oh my god the mg3 index is one of them um so so i'm up there with japanese totally how much omega-3 do you eat well i eat salmon i would say at least you know two to three times a week i also eat sardines that's a big one yeah that's a big one and then i take a lot of fish oil i take um about two grams of epa in the morning and two grams of dha in the evening for a total of four grams separately i take them separately yeah
Personally, you know, I like to go for closer to a 2 to1 ratio. I actually like DHA. I like a little bit higher DHA for me.
So, I do a combination of both because I still am not able to get my omega-3 index up to where it needs to be with just eating salmon.
