Wellbutrin activates dopamine and epinephrin, which is a substrate of dopamine. And both of those are involved in motivation and alertness and effort.
The headline is broadly defensible, but the qualifications matter. Effect sizes vary by population, the strongest claims rest on shorter trials, and credible voices push back on how it's typically framed.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.

if methylphenidate is basically a norepinephrine and dopamine reuptake inhibitor that's what well buttin is
Good example of this would be the drug wellbutrin also called buprone which increases dopamine and norepinephrine. Well, but brie was developed as an alternative treatment for depression because some people who take the so-called SSRI, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, which as the name suggests, increased serotonin, suffer from serotonin related side effects, things like decreased appetite, decreased libido, or sometimes increased appetite or other side effects that they don't want. And well, butrine seems to avoid the sexual side effects, it can blunt appetite and these sorts of things because of the increase in norepinephrine and dopamine increases levels of motivation and craving, but also can create a state of elevated alertness that can sometimes get in the way of healthy eating and things of that sort.
