The headline is broadly defensible, but the qualifications matter. Effect sizes vary by population, the strongest claims rest on shorter trials, and credible voices push back on how it's typically framed.
Serotonin & Dopamine, Opponency, SSRIs 1:11:21
Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.

Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
who explained that the increased serotonin from SSRIs can be taken up by dopamine synapses and can reduce the rewarding properties of dopamine.
But you know, if you were a system and you thought that the positive juice was dopamine and the negative juice was serotonin and you put the negative juice in the positive terminals, then the cells that control the release of that are going to chatter for positive things. You might start negatively conditioning on things that you should actually pursue and learn about.
