Activin type II receptors (ActRIIA/B) act like molecular brakes on muscles and fat cells: when myostatin or activin binds, muscle protein synthesis stalls and fat storage rises. Bimagrumab, a fully human monoclonal antibody, blocks both receptor types, lifting those brakes, effects: + Stimulation of muscle hypertrophy (Blocking myostatin and activin A signalling) + Nudging white adipose toward higher fat burn, resembling brown adipose tissue. (By blocking activin E signalling in adipose cells)
