you don't see the effects right away in most people and as you know you'll see on the package insert and most people I probably been told by their physician you need to give it four to six weeks well pharmacologically we know that the inhibition of the reuptake pump in the neural synapses it happens within an hour so the amount of serotonin in the synapse the amount of norepinephrine in the synapse or the amount of dopamine in the synapse changes within one hour of taking this medication but clinically we can talk about the studies that have been done regarding the efficacy of these medications which are a whole different set of which is a whole different set of literature but a lot of people in the people that actually respond to these medications which is a very small proportion they don't respond for four to six weeks
