the whole idea that we didn't eat a lot of salt and during evolutionary times was from a very famous a New England Journal of Medicine publication I believe it was published in the 1970s by to two co-authors and what they looked at was strictly land vegetation that was consumed and basically muscle meats they never took into account aquatic vegetation that may have been consumed which is you know has sodium ten times higher than land vegetation but also they didn't look at consuming the entire animal nose-to-tail so they didn't look at salty blood they didn't look at interstitial fluid salt intake and they didn't look at organ intake and organs do contain more salt and mussel meat itself
